| Through the architect’s personal experiences of the Paris Philharmonie project and its construction, this text presents the issues and outcomes that were encountered within such a large-scale public cultural project within its political, economic and cultural context of France after the 2008 financial crisis. This text also underlines the importance of the architects' professional fidelity to large public projects in the face of political oppression, as well as economic and public opinion. One analysis of Jean Nouvel’s architecture (Ateliers Jean Nouvel ) - l'architecture spécifique poetic – claims that architectural innovation is based on respecting the of context of the time period, culture and site, as well as retaining a knowledge of technological and functional innovations. |
