| Livability research is among the most prominent aspects of Humanistic Urban Design since 1960s. As an urban planner and urban designer with rich education background, project and teaching practice experience,Allan B. Jacobs had contributed great effort to help with the establishment and development of Urban Design subject, to guide and lay the foundation of urban design practice, as well as to bring Humanistic Urban Design to a higher level, therefore he had profound influence on New Urbanism which began in 1990s. |
