| Tracing the teaching practice of Aldo Rossi at ETHZ, this paper analyzes the relationship between the instruction, theory and research related to Rossi since the 1970s, and the practice, heritage, as well as development of the contemporary urban architecture of Switzerland.Thus the vista of the contemporary urban architecture of Switzerland is partially exhibited.The contemporary urban architecture of Switzerland can be regarded as the critical inheritance of Rossi’s concepts of “analogy”, “atmosphere”, “realism” and so on through generations, and their corresponding interpretation into the local context of Switzerland. |
