| This paper reviews the housing prototypes proposed by American modernist architects in the early 20thcentury. From the perspective of the history of housing prototypes, this paper, both in theory and practice, attempts to reveal the interactions between the discipline of architecture and the industrialized production mode of capitalism market economic system. And it also discusses the evolution inside the knowledge structure of modern architecture. |
