| Concentrating on the topic of “Sehen Lernen”, the author conducted a two-hour interview with the Swiss architect Peter Märkli.Whether in Switzerland or in China, this issue seems to be marginal in the current architectural education.However, from why should we learn to see, to the specific ways and tools of seeing,moreover, to the understanding and translation of history, Märkli demonstrated unreservedly his experience and reflections on “Sehen” over years in this interview—eventually architecture is not only functional, it also needs to give meaning to the eye. |
