| Taking Mid-Century Timber Housing in Southern California area as typical case studies, this paper traces
the main trends and characteristic involved in the modern transition of American Timber Construction, and examines
and analysis the idea basis shaping the series of evolutionary phenomenon. Then it attempts to argue that
the relations between construction technology and discipline knowledge, as well as its social process, had determined
the historic selection. |
