| SHEN Qi is the first known modern Chinese architect. This essay researches into his educational background,
professional experiences and time background, aiming to study the basic characteristics of the beginning of Chinese architectural modernization, analyze how the new construction based on modern engineering can be produced in China and explore the origin of modern Chinese native architect, and commemorate this pioneer architect. |
