| After Aldo Rossi’s short teaching activity in Switzerland, his students further developed his ideas and
design methodology. One of the most systematic approaches was “Analoglle Architecture”, established by Fabio
Reinhart and Miroslav Šik. In the following essay, Šik summarises the typological study and design thinking about
the typical European urban residential buildings, based on his teaching and practice of the past 40 years. Rossi’s
concept of typology is very lively and concrete, which echos in this essay with lots of details, showing a kind of rationality of realism. |
