| In the interview Philip Ursprung firstly discussed the current crisis of historicity and stated that
architecture theory has lost its autonomy. Instead of an overarching theory, there are many concepts, which
function like “miniature theories” (Mieke Bal). Based on Bal’s idea of the “travelling concept” he discusses the
chances of architecture education in the context of globalization. Finally he analyses the mutual enlightenment
between Chinese contemporary architecture and Western education. |
