| By comparing the architectural practices and theoretical viewpoints of Le Corbusier and Auguste
Perret, this paper reveals the important influence of Auguste Perret on the formation of Le Corbusier’s modern
architecture theory. The significant differences between them in tectonics and architectural ethics, and the gradual
departure of their architecture roads reflect the pain and tangle of modern architecture breaking away from the
classical system. |
