| 19世纪末 20世纪初，中国城市建筑开始向现代化转型，外国建筑师们捷足先登，他们在建筑设计和城市建设
方面起到了重要的作用。1903年德国建筑师罗克格来青岛创业，后于1911年进京执业并迎来了事业的巅峰，他在我
国近代建筑师制度的发展、西方建筑文化和技术的引进及中国传统建筑现代化转变等方面都作出了重要的贡献，值得
载入中国近代建筑的史册。 |

| From the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century，Chinese city architecture began to
modernize and foreign architects took the lead. They played an important role in architectural design and urban
construction. In 1903，the German architect Curt Rothkegel came to Qingdao to start his own business，and later
he entered Beijing to practice in 1911. He ushered in the peak of his career there.
He has made important contributions to the development of China’s modern architect system，the importing of
western architectural culture and technology and the modernization of Chinese traditional architecture，which is
worthy to be recorded in the history of modern Chinese architecture. |
