| Focusing on the relationships between the vault structure and the gable wall，the paper uses a graphical method to systematically review the historical process of Le Corbusier’s design and the development of the Monol（cylinder vault prototype）. It points out the arch appearing on the gable of Maisons Jaoul is a kind of “reproduction”. This provides a new perspective for the in-depth study of the Monol prototype and reveals the design value of the vault heritage. |
