| James Corner’s Mapping theory has garnered significant attention within academia. The article focuses on Corner's reflections on embodied perception and rational measurement in Mapping theoretical exploration, clarifies the theoretical connotation of critical practice, and points out its intellectual speculation and imaginative construction. Then, taking Corner’s three works such as Hopi Weather Calendar, Power of Ten, and Seattle Central Waterfront Design as cases, the method and characteristics of Mapping operations are explained. It further explores the intrinsic value and profound implications of this approach in reestablishing connections within the living world. |
