| Undoubtedly a precious historical material for the study of Lü Yanzhi’s life，the article “Dr. Sun Yat Sen’s
Tomb at Nanking，” published in the October 1928 issue of China magazine，contains several detailed information
about him. This information includes Lü’s performance during his studies at Cornell University，the recommender
who introduced him upon graduation to the office of Murphy & Dana Architects in New York City，an important
project he participated，which was also an opportunity for him to develop his knowledge of Chinese architecture，
his mentor and employer’s evaluation of him，and Henry Murphy’s comment on Lü’s masterpiece the Sun Yat-sen
mausoleum，which continued the effort Murphy made in the search for an adaptive modern Chinese architecture. |
