英文摘要: |
Josef Olbrich was an important architect of the Art Nouveau period, whose influence on the development of early modernist architecture was profound. This article analyzes two of Olbrich’s key architectural works— the “Vienna Secession Building” and the “Darmstadt Artists' Colony”—which he referred to as “temples.” By exploring these works, the article delves into the core of his belief, “To every age its art. To art its freedom” (Deutsch: Der Zeit Ihre Kunst, Der Kunst Ihre Freiheit), and traces the evolution of his design philosophy from the "individual spirit" to the "collective will." The study suggests that Olbrich's journey may offer inspiration for the continuity and innovative design of contemporary architecture in China. |
