社会在不同阶段对建筑遗产守护传承的多元路径展开探讨，指出华侨建筑遗产保护工作对于促进中华文化海外
传播的重要意义。 |

| The late Malaysian Chinese architect，Mr. Tan Yeowwooi，was a renowned expert in the field of over-
seas Chinese architectural conservation in Southeast Asia. He was honored with the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Cultural
Heritage Conservation Awards for his outstanding contributions. This article draws on multiple oral interviews
conducted with Mr. Tan in Malaysia，as well as on-site field investigations to Chinese architectural heritage conser-
vation and restoration projects in Penang and Malacca. The article further elaborates on Mr. Tan’s understanding
of the value of overseas Chinese architectural heritage and the development of his conservation and restoration
philosophy. Moreover，it examines the diverse approaches adopted by overseas Chinese communities at different
stages to preserve and inherit their architectural heritage，highlighting the pivotal role of preserving overseas Chi-
nese architectural heritage in promoting the overseas dissemination of Chinese culture. |
