义和浪漫主义建筑美学的关联。其旨有三：一是概括林的建筑美学思想的主要内容；二是通过她的思想探讨西
方建筑美学话语对中国近代建筑美学概念体系建构的影响；三是透过她对维特鲁威和拉斯金这两位西方建筑
美学代表人物建筑美学概念的重新定义和质疑，揭示其美学理念所具有的中国立场。 |

| Based on the two articles that LIN Whei-Yin published at the age of 28，namely， Some Characteristics of
Chinese Architecture and Miscellaneous Notes on Architecture of Suburban Beijing ，this paper attempts to reveal
the connections between the keywords or core concepts of the aesthetic thinking of this pioneer Chinese scholar
and the architectural aesthetics of classicism and romanticism prevailing in Europe and America in the nineteenth
and the early twentieth centuries. Its purpose is threefold：first，to summarize the main contents of LIN’s architec-
tural aesthetic thinking；second，to explore the influence of the Western architectural aesthetics on the formation
of that in China；and third，to reveal the Chinese stance of LIN’s aesthetic thinking as shown in her redefinition and
questioning of the concepts or ideas of Vitruvius and John Ruskin，two representative figures of Western architec-
tural aesthetics. |
