| This paper introduces two transcriptions of Yingzao fashi , the Seikado Transcription and the Naito
Collection Transcription, and traces how they were taken to Japan. It identifies the Naito Collection Transcription as
the famous Tōdai Transcription, introduced by Takeshima Takuichi in his Research on Yingzao fashi , based on the
comparisons of texts and drawing details with other transcriptions and Okuma Yoshikuni’s signature. Further, it
traces the circulation of the Naito Collection Transcription in Japan after it was transcribed in Fengtian in 1905. |
